“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.” It was a simple letter to Apple’s board on August 24. Yet the announcement had an immediate effect online and even on Wall Street. No one can doubt Jobs’ impact on personal computer, music player, smartphone and tablet and his focused vision which has led Apple to become not only wealthy but a valuable tech company.
