Like a lot of people, I use Gmail a lot and various Google business solutions like AdSense, AdWords, Analytics, Checkout, Google Apps, Google Places, etc. I particularly like the convenience of being able to check my email without too many bells and whistles that only get in the way and/or slow down the process. However, I recently noticed Google implemented this “Importance” marker feature. Well, as it turns out, I really could do without it. I prefer to label my emails my way, not have Gmail decide what’s important for me. So, I decided to turn the setting off completely. Here’s how…
- log in to gmail
- go to Mail settings
- go to Priority Inbox
- select No Markers under Importance markers
- Save Changes
And that’s it!
