If you’ve been to google.com, you know it’s Earth Day 2011 today. And for many online sites, organizations and corporations alike, are talking about ways to go green and be environmentally responsible and friendly. Earlier today, while visiting various Earth Day-related sites online, I came across Picnic for the Planet organized by The Nature Conservancy.
Picnic for the Planet invites people to join a meetup at an outdoor venue with good food and peeps. The meetups, which are local events, are happening all over the world. Their overall goals are for people to consider eating local, sustainable and green; all worthwhile endeavors everyday but especially appropriate on Earth Day!
